MERIT BADGES

Merit badges are one of the coolest parts of Scouting — Scouts get to try new things, discover their interests, and learn real-world skills while having fun. With so many badges available, there’s truly something for everyone.

TRAIL TO EAGLE

Below are key forms, guides, and resources to help Scouts and families understand and navigate the Trail to Eagle process.

The Eagle Scout rank is the highest achievement attainable in the Scouts BSA program of the Scouting America. Since its inception in 1911, only about four percent of Scouts have earned this prestigious rank through a rigorous and meaningful process. More than 2.5 million youth have achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. To qualify, a Scout must earn at least 22 merit badges, demonstrate Scout Spirit by living the Scout Oath and Law, provide leadership to others, and complete a significant service project that benefits the community. Effective July 1, 2022, all Eagle Scout candidates must also complete the Citizenship in Society merit badge as part of the requirements.
